Don’t Make It Weird is a comedy podcast focusing on writing, storytelling, and real-life adventures.

Meet the Crew

  • Daniel Quigley

    CO-HOST

Daniel is a wannabe fantasy writer based out of Georgia. He is obsessed with MMMBop, MacGruber, and Producer Sean.

When he's not writing about his hatred of Gnomes, he can be found coaching soccer or outside of Producer Sean's window.

  • Dinasaurus

    CO-HOST

Dina uses her free time to bring worlds to life through her writing. She spends her evenings with her two dogs, harassing her husband to the brink of insanity, obsessing over all things teal, and perfecting her dinosaur impressions—she may have a slight obsession with the prehistoric creatures.

Dina's life is spent enduring the hot, humid sunsets of Florida, known to the natives as the Armpit Climate, but to the lovely tourists as The Eternal Vacation Climate.

  • Sean Holden

    PRODUCER / EDITOR

Sean is a father, a maker, a musician and a mechanical engineering lab manager based out of the San Francisco Bay Area.

When he’s not spending hours editing Daniel’s nonsense out of the show, you’ll probably find him with some whiskey, watching football or making something cool in his garage.

  • Jess The Mess

    RECURRING GUEST HOST

Jess is a skilled procrastinator and an aspiring novelist. These two things go together like milk and Jess’s lactose-intolerant bowels.

When not writing, she can be found in her beautiful home of BC, Canada, petting dogs, snuggling cats, drinking wine, playing on mountaintops or falling down mountaintops.

The Official Drinking Game

  • Yellow

Any time the word “yellow” is said, we must drink.

In the very first episode, Dina tells us the story of why the color yellow refers to “shit.” Listen and find out why!

  • Feet

Anytime “feet” is said, we must drink.

Another topic of discussion from episode 1 of the show. Dina discusses how she thinks foot fetishes are gross, and a recurring bit was born.

  • Horse

Any time “horse” is said, we must drink.

In episode 2, Daniel told us the legend of the Horse Girl: that time he took a girl back to his college dorm, only to discover that she likes to literally roleplay as a horse.

  • Cilantro / Coriander

Any time “cilantro” or “coriander” is mentioned, we must drink.

This started all the way back in episode 3 with our first ever guest, Peter-Shaun Tyrell. The Cilantro Wars began after Dinasaurus asked Peter-Shaun if he thought cilantro tasted like soap.

  • "That's what she said!"

Anytime Dina says “That’s what she said!” we must drink.

Dina says “that’s what she said” more than Michael Scott does. Prepare to drink a lot.

  • Buffalo!

In Buffalo, you must always use your non-dominant hand to drink. If you are caught using your dominant hand, you will have to chug your entire drink.

If you catch someone else using their dominant hand, call out BUFFALO! But be careful, if you call it incorrectly, that’s a REVERSE BUFFALO, and you must finish your drink.
